WSC Home Care has been serving Livingston County for 15 years (formally under the name Action Home Health Care).
We are seeking compassionate part time caregivers on the sunrise shift at our apartment program, luxurious group home, and home care clients.
This position is for up to 24 Hours a week. Pay periods run weekly Sunday to Saturday.
The candidate(s) for this position will need to meet one of the availability options below:
Role 1: Monday 7a-3p/ Friday 7a-3p/ Rotating weekends 7a-3p (1:1 Care)
Role 2: Monday 7a-3p/ Tues 7a-11a/ Thursday 7a-11/ Rotating weekends 7a-3p (1:1 Care and group home)
Role 3: Monday 7a-3p / Thursday 7a-3p/Rotating weekends 7a-3p (1:1 Care)
Your Role:
As a dedicated caregiver, you’ll provide essential support to individuals facing social, cognitive, emotional, and physical challenges. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Personal Care: Assist with daily routines ensuring dignity and safety.
Support Services: Aid in nutrition, mobility, and housekeeping to enhance independence.
Emergency Response: Swift action to ensure safety.
Healthcare Assistance: Manage medications and health records.
Administrative Support: Maintain documentation to ensure smooth operations.
Additional Duties: Flexibility is key – you'll assist with tasks as assigned, contributing to the smooth functioning of our programs. Must be comfortable coordinating client on community based activities.
Qualifications:
Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required – we provide full training!
Must have strong communication skills, physical capability for caregiving tasks, and a commitment to ethical, client-centered care.
High school diploma/GED and reliable transportation are necessary.
Physical Demands:
Job duties include regular talking and hearing, occasional standing, walking, sitting, manual tasks, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Specific vision abilities needed include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
